At Pleasaant Grove, music is a vital part of the worship service. When people from different walks of life come together in one accord to magnify the name of Jesus through music, the Holy Spirit shows up. God delights in and inhabits the praise of His people. You will see "Glory Rising." May the glory of the Lord fill His house at Pleasant Grove.
II Chronicles 5:13-14
Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, “For He is good, for His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Pastor: Bill Cowan
Belief Statement: Hi. I'm Billy Cowan, Pastor of Pleasant Grove UMC. Thanks for stopping by our website. It's been my honor to serve here as pastor for the past nine years. We have come a long way and are so excited about the ministry and the future of our church. We endeavor to fully preach the word of God to the best of our ability. At Pleasant Grove, we believe in the inerrancy of God's word and that it is His full revelation to us concerning all things that "pertain to life and Godliness." The Bible is such an amazing book. It is written with so much wisdom that scholars can wonder at it, yet with so much love that a child can find salvation there by simply trusting in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In I Timothy 3:16, the great apostle Paul would write that "great is the mystery of godliness." Then in a few short phrases he would proclaim almost the total revelation of the new testament church. "God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." How amazing that with one breath almost, Paul would summarize the entire gospel message that we preach. If we might add to that-- the soon return of our Lord and His setting up His kingdom on earth. That's the good news we proclaim! The world may be full of darkness and despair. It seems we are set upon on every side, but like a beacon from a light house on a dark shore, the Word of God shines forth beckoning one and all to come toward its light. There is comfort and safety there. In the Lord you can find safe passage for your journey. That's the mystery of godliness that is found only in the Lord. Again, thanks for stopping by our website. We would love to have you come visit our church anytime.
